The Haddon W. Robinson Center for Preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the Shoemaker Center for Church Renewal invites you to join us for the Ockenga Lectureship "Five Questions for Better Sermons" with Rev. Dr. Mary Hulst.

Dr. Hulst will offer insights in three different events on campus.

11:10 - 12:00 Dr. Hulst will preach in the Kiaser Chapel during our regular chapel service - free and open to all

12:15-1:15 Dr. Hulst will give a brief talk during lunch in the Alumni Hall. (Tickets are $10, Reservations must be made by April 1 to reserve your seat)

1:30 - 4:00 Dr. Hulst will continue her reflections from her book, "A Little Handbook for Preachers" during our Pastor's Forum held in Alumni Hall. (Tickets are $25. Discount tickets for Lunch and Forum are $30.

Dr. Hulst has served as College Chaplain at Calvin College since 2009. Previously she served as the senior pastor at Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. She holds a Masters of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary and a PhD in communication ethics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Hulst taught in the Communications Arts and Sciences Department at Calvin College and the at Calvin Theological Seminary, as Assistant Professor of Preaching, where she still teaches on occasion. Dr. Hulst will share insights from her book, "A Little Handbook for Preachers."
